The Life Adventure of Mint and Blue

This is a story for all of us. A story of the search for love, and for a warm hug when we are at lowest low.
It began as we underwent our imperfect childhood. Through all the hardship and sweet memories.

Like any other love story, theirs start with a simple dream: someone we call home, a place where we can rest and feel safe. That is the dream of both Mint & Blue.

As Blue navigates people's expectation of how to be a man...
And Mint goes on a journey to find her knight in shining armor...

"Follow this trail, work well, and you'll be swell" Said one of those-who-matters.
"Dare to speak, be brave, stand tall and you'll rule the world" Said those who want you to be better than them.

It comes and goes, but it never leaves. The expectation of how we should think and do and be! But dare we stray away from it? Dare we pursue our truest dream?

Because deep down, what she wants is someone she'd call home. A compressed essence of a home, friend, family, and herself.
And a place he would be safe to be what he is, without judgement. Nothing's good or bad, just a present to savor.

She went searching that home for years, a long arduous one filled with mistakes and lessons.
Not knowingly the perfect man is undergoing life changing events that eventually shape him into her knight in shining armor.

Far from each other, a stranger destined for eternal love. Until one day, the universe meets them at the most uncanny place, in the most awkward time.

A strong mint with a dash of eye-liner, with a bright eye that steals anyone's eyes. A soft smile that's just about right.
A deep blue, and yet elegantly calm. An enigma that pulse a sense of awe and mystery. A thousand battle scars beneath.

It begins with a simple glance through the window. a glance turns into a momentous stare that feels like forever.
Blue tried to focus on his gallery, only to fail gracefully in the presence of Mint. He knows something's different about her.

Every story has it. That first memory where each of us will never forget for the rest of our life. Where sparks flew and magic happened. The very definition of our existence: memories.

For every time he stares at her, she goes mad-mad-mad in love. And this time, for good.
She would liberate him from all the Ifs and Buts, staving away the Shoulda and Coulda. And he? He can finally be him.

She shows him her small treasure chest where she puts her heart, beating calmly, waiting for the perfect person.
He tells her his deepest darkest fear, the demons that haunt him for everlong.

Is this it? Is this my time? YES! This is the mint that makes me smile. This is the blue I feel home with. This is the one I would want to sail with, until the sun sets.

Riding high with the wind, dancing with the clouds. By each day they're together, the bond is stronger.
They'd dance in the middle of the street at night where no one's watching. The world is indeed their oyster. Everything is perfect.

...except when it's not. Because what goes up must go down. And going down is not a pleasant thing.
As time passes, they know more about each other. And the more they know, the more they're afraid. What ifs creeps in. Perhaps and Maybe lurks out from the shadow.

Should we continue? Are we even a perfect match? What if she goes Green? What if he goes Purple? What if the world is flat? Terrifying, dreadful questions.

Ninety-nine possible scenarios emerge, and none of it ends pleasantly. Almost everything ends in tears and rupture.
Why would anyone go through this they think. Such a risk! Much dangerous! Very doom! they go to the place where no hope ever dares to step. Mount Fear.

Gone are the days of rainbow and sunshine, turned by chilling rain that seeped into their bones. Sailing in a frozen sea is no fun.
Mint goes pale, blue goes as blue as he can. Eerily silence walks between them. Not a word. Not a glance. No nothing.

Goodbye they think. It was a good journey, they think. Time to go back to their small,single boat they think. Maybe everlasting love doesn't meant to be. Maybe it's just a tale, like a sphinx, or a unicorn, or a good politician.

Except that you can always see hope, if you try hard enough. It's always there all the time.
On that small hope, there's a new type of what-ifs and Maybe and Perhaps.

We dream as a kid, of a perfect life. That one day we would find it.
But such a perfect world is never meant to be found. It was meant to be created.

Out of 99 despair and bad things, lies an eternal spot of sunshine. A spot where everything is fine and Life is Good. It was all a matter of choice. A brave choice against the odds.

And that is the kind of place Mint and Blue will be. A spot of hope they will always cling into.
Walking side by side, through all storms and what's-not. Up for any challenges you could think of.

It won't be a perfect journey. But it'll be their journey. And they'll be happy for that.
Full of laughter and arguments and countless decisions on what-to-eat-this-lunch. They'll cherish each and every moment.

On every storm, they'll found each other, again and again. Rupture happens, but repair they will, and stronger they surely will be.

But you, you know that already aren't you? That in the end, love always win.
You understand that in the end, we are all searching for our home. And now, we are fortunate enough to witness their journey.

And as they start their journey, through all its good and bad, rain or shine, I ask nothing but a blessing from the Universe, and from you!
A strength to go through any storm and a courage to love each other unconditionally, searching for treasure of life in the not-so-far-future.

Dare they to start their journey? Yes! Four hundred and forty two yes!
